What to Expect from Start to Finish

Repipe Services

  • What is a repipe?

Repipe (or re-plumb) is a complete replacement of your interior water supply system. New PEX or copper pipes are routed to every fixture through walls and ceilings.

  • How do I know if I need a repipe?

Recurring leaks or slab leaks, discolored/rusty water, low pressure, or pipes older than ~30 years are common signs it’s time to replace your plumbing.

  • Why do my pipes leak?

If your home is older than 20 years, chances are the pipes reached their life expectancy. The other most common reason is that low-grade pipes, like polybutylene or type M copper, were used in the plumbing of your home. Hard water leads to premature pipe failure and pin hole leaks.

  • How much does a whole‑house repipe cost?

Pricing depends on bath count, square footage, stories, finishes, and material (PEX vs. copper). We provide a fast, detailed quote—no surprises.

  • Do you match prices?

Yes! If you have a lower quote from another licensed contractor, we will match the price.

  • Do you offer financing?

Yes — through Wisetack. Prequalify online in about a minute with no impact to your credit. Finance up to $25,000 with 3–60 month terms and APRs 0%–29.99% on approved credit, with no hidden fees or compounding interest.

    Learn About Financing
  • How long does a repipe take?

The whole process usually takes 3 to 5 days for a 2 bedroom house or apartment. We will be able to give you a more exact estimate for your particular home after our Free in-home consultation.

  • Will you patch and clean up?

Yes. We repair drywall openings and leave the work areas tidy with HEPA dust control and floor protection.

  • Will my water be shut off?

Yes, typically during working hours on installation day. We coordinate timing and restore service as quickly as possible.

Find the Right Piping for Your Home

Materials: PEX vs. Copper

  • What is PEX?

PEX is a flexible and durable plastic piping product used for distributing water in residential, commercial and irrigation plumbing systems. PEX is a non-toxic, BPA-free and extremely durable piping product that will not pit, scale or corrode like copper.

  • Is PEX safe for drinking water?

We install US‑made Uponor PEX‑A, certified for potable water and widely used in homes, schools, and healthcare settings.

  • PEX or copper repipe?

We recommend aquaPEX by Uponor to 95% of our customers. With more than 40 years of proven performance and 17 billion feet of Uponor PEX installed worldwide, we are confident in our recommendation. Whenever PEX is not a viable solution, we use high quality, US-made copper pipes and fittings.

  • When is copper a better fit?

Copper is ideal for exposed runs, high‑heat tolerance, or homeowner preference. We use rigid Type L copper for durability.

  • Can you mix materials?

Yes—transitions are common (e.g., copper stubs at the water heater with PEX distribution).

Cleaner Water for Every Need

Water Filtration & Treatment (Whole‑House, RO, Softeners)

  • What’s the difference between whole‑house filtration, reverse osmosis, and softeners/conditioners?

Whole‑house (point‑of‑entry) improves water for every tap by reducing chlorine/chloramine taste/odor and sediment. Reverse osmosis (RO) is a point‑of‑use purifier for drinking/cooking that targets dissolved solids. Softeners/conditioners address hardness to reduce scale on fixtures and appliances.

  • Which option is right for my home?

Many families choose whole‑house filtration for showers/laundry + RO at the kitchen sink/fridge for drinking. Add a softener (or salt‑free conditioner) if you see spotting, scale, or premature fixture wear.

  • Will these systems affect water pressure or flow?

Properly sized systems are selected to meet your home’s demand; we match flow ratings and add bypass/shut‑offs for easy service.

  • How often is maintenance required?

Sediment/carbon filters: 6–12 months. RO pre/post filters: 6–12 months; RO membranes: 2–3 years. Softener salt refills: as needed; media in tank systems: 3–5 years depending on usage and local water conditions.

  • Can I combine systems?

Yes—many homes pair whole‑house filtration with RO for drinking and a softener/conditioner for scale control. We’ll design a setup that fits your goals and budget.

Hot Water Options Built for Your Home

Water Heaters (Tank & Tankless)

  • Tank vs. tankless—what’s right for me?

Tanks are cost‑effective and simple; tankless offers endless hot water and higher efficiency. We’ll size and price both.

  • Is hot water instant with tankless?

Add a recirculation loop/pump for near‑instant hot water at key fixtures.

  • Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes—we install to local code, pull permits where required, and meet inspectors as needed.

Board‑Friendly Planning for Multi‑Unit Buildings

HOAs & Multi‑Unit Properties

  • Can you coordinate HOA repiping?

Yes. We provide board presentations, resident notices, stack‑by‑stack scheduling, and flat‑rate proposals.

  • How disruptive is an HOA project?

We sequence units to minimize downtime and complete same‑day patching/cleanup per stack when feasible.

Coverage You Can Count On

Warranties & Insurance

  • What warranties do you offer?

Lifetime warranty on workmanship for repiping; equipment carries manufacturer warranties.

  • Can you help with insurance claims?

We provide documentation/photos and communicate with your adjuster if needed (we’re not public adjusters).
